LOI Essentials
The LOI, or Letter of Intent is (usually) a non-binding document meant to discuss the main points of a Real Estate transaction from a business stand-point. Before committing to a contractual lease, which will obligate those signed by law to the contract. Its important to have all the basic points agreed upon. This also helps mitigate legal fees, by not wasting a large amount of time reviewing legal documents and agreements, when the basic points have not been acknowledged and accepted.
Once negotiated and accepted, the LOI becomes the backbone of the lease, setting the foundation for the many important points discussed in the contract. We are adding here a free source LOI, with some of the most important points included, to help you understand its structure, the points discussed, and how it is used in a real estate transaction.
This LOI is a TEMPLATE ONLY - WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT LEGAL COUNCIL IS ALWAYS USED FOR ANY TYPE OF LEGAL ADVICE, LEGAL DOCUMENTS AND/OR CONTRACTS. ALWAYS CONSULT WITH YOUR LEGAL COUNCIL AND BROKER BEFORE ANY USE OF ANY LOI, DEAL POINTS, LEGAL POINTS, ETC.
